Kids & Family Gun Safety
Kids and Guns: Part 1
We’re thrilled to present this foundational class for families! As gun owners, we have a unique opportunity—and responsibility—to teach our children the values of safety, respect, and responsibility when it comes to firearms. This is an engaging, hands-on experience where parents and kids work together to build essential knowledge and skills for safe firearm handling.
Important Note: This is a non-shooting class and serves as Part 1 of our Kids and Guns series. Graduates of this class will be eligible to participate in Part 2, which includes live-fire practice with parental supervision and guidance.
What You’ll Learn Together in Part 1:
- The 4 Universal Firearm Safety Rules: Simple, memorable, and life-saving principles every family member should know.
- Firearm and ammunition basics: Breaking down the essentials in a clear and approachable way.
- How to safely handle firearms at home and at the range: Practical, confidence-building techniques.
- Accident prevention and secure firearm storage: Keeping your home safe for everyone.
- Making gun safety a family responsibility: Tools to keep the conversation going beyond the classroom.
The key to firearms safety is education, not isolation. The more we talk about and practice real safety measures as a family, the safer we’ll all be. Join us for this exciting first step toward becoming a responsibly armed family and helping save lives!
Let’s make safety a family tradition and pave the way for a confident, safe experience in Part 2!
