Hartford Gun Club presents: Low Light Class – Intermediate Pistol
Our Low Light Pistol Shooting Class is a comprehensive training program designed to equip participants with the skills and techniques necessary to safely and effectively use a handgun in low light conditions, where visibility is limited.
This course focuses on essential skills for low light scenarios, including flashlight utilization. Participants will learn various methods for holding a flashlight while operating their pistol, such as the Harries, Temple-Index, and FBI techniques, each suited to different situations and or preferences. We emphasize the importance of maintaining proper firearm control and sight alignment while using a flashlight to identify and engage potential threats.
Students will also learn when to use a flashlight judiciously, understanding that revealing their position too early can be a tactical disadvantage. The class covers shooting drills, target identification, and decision-making in low light situations to enhance situational awareness and safety.
By the end of this course, participants will be better prepared to navigate low light environments while effectively employing their pistol and flashlight, ultimately enhancing their personal security and safety.
